Strong Mandarin and Language Pathways

At EtonHouse Broadrick, language is lived, not taught only as a standalone subject. Children use language meaningfully through inquiry, culture and everyday school experiences, helping them build confidence, communication skills and a broader worldview.

Families can choose from two pathways:

  1. Mandarin Immersion Pathway
An award-winning bilingual programme that develops Mandarin fluency and cultural appreciation by Year 6.

  2. Integrated Curriculum Pathway
Offers Mandarin, Japanese, Hindi or English as an Additional Language, supporting children’s language development within an international school environment.

Mandarin Immersion students consistently achieve strong Youth Chinese Test results while maintaining strong English and Maths foundations. In 2025, students achieved:

  • 100% pass rate across all levels
  • 98% average score across Levels 1 to 3
  • 57% full marks across Levels 1 to 3
  • Top Level 4 score of 96%, achieved by a non-native speaker

The Mandarin Immersion Pathway has been recognised by the HoneyKids Education Awards for Best Bilingual Programme from 2022 to 2025, and by WhichSchoolAdvisor for Best Bilingual Programme in 2022 and 2024.

What Parents Say About EtonHouse Broadrick

We wanted a school that would know and nurture our child as a whole person, and EtonHouse does exactly that. The small school size is one of its greatest strengths – it fosters real connections between children, teachers and families. The rich teacher-to-student ratio means every child receives a truly individualised experience.

Frances and Peter Farnsworth, Parents of Madison (K1) and Georgiana (Year 3) – 2026

Rafael used to hesitate to take the stage or share his opinions. At EtonHouse Broadrick, he has found the confidence to express himself, share what he thinks and take pride in his gifts. Thank you, EtonHouse community, for helping him grow, find his voice and enjoy every single day of his childhood at the school.

Geraldine Lopez Parent of Rafael, Class of 2025

Our children attend Mandarin classes, and we’re impressed by their Mandarin speaking and reading comprehension, especially as we’re a non-Mandarin speaking household. The curriculum puts children at the centre of learning, and we’ve seen them develop as confident, inquisitive, caring and well-rounded learners.
