Free Play: Children have the opportunity to engage in unstructured play, allowing them to further explore their interests, practice decision-making, and develop independence. adults are encouraged to observe and support their child's play without direct intervention, fostering a sense of autonomy.
Closing Circle: The session concludes with a closing circle where children and adults reflect on their experiences, share their creations, and sing goodbye songs. This routine helps children transition smoothly from class to home.
Our Playgroup Facilitator

Miss Eliyana Jahir
Playgroup Facilitator
Diploma in Pre-School Leadership and Teaching
Eliyana (Eli) began her Early Childhood career in 2002. In her career, she has had the amazing opportunity to work with different curriculums and settings which helped strengthen her personal values and philosophy on education. Having worked in a Reggio Emillio inspired setting prior to this for a period of 4 years, Eli has continued to advocate for the importance of learning through play and designing learning environments that allows children to have exposure to open ended and real life materials, develop independence, the opportunity to wonder, investigate as they make sense of the world around them and provide a variety of exposure to different media and materials to unleash their 100 Languages.
Through open communication and strong partnerships with families, Eli strives to create a close community of learners and researchers. As a passionate nature lover, Eli believes that the natural world is a giant, open-ended learning laboratory which provides an intriguing lens for children who are innate scientists to discover as they experience the sights, scents, sounds and textures of the world around them.
Taking nature as inspiration, Eli is excited to incorporate the natural world into the learning spaces and research alongside the children the wondrous possibilities of nature. Eli enjoys capturing moments with her camera, travelling and discovering new places, cultures and languages, reading and scuba diving during her free time.

What Sets Claymore Apart?

ROBUST BILINGUAL PROGRAMME
We offer a dual-language environment where both an English and Mandarin teacher plan and facilitate classes together. This cultivates a genuine interest in Mandarin from an early age and offers our students the option of pursuing the language when they advance to Primary School.

RICH TEACHER-TO-CHILD RATIO
Our curriculum’s success relies on meaningful collaborations between our educators and children. This is why we value rich teacher-child ratios — it ensures children get the attention they deserve, and our teachers are able to develop child-responsive learning programmes.

CLOSE KNIT COMMUNITY
At EtonHouse Claymore, we don’t just care deeply for our students, we are proud to have strong relationships with the parents as well. We often organise events that foster such bonds through workshops, sundowners and community gatherings.
