The Rhythm of Care:
How Small Moments Build Big Growth
4 FEB, WED, 12 - 1 PM SGT
Why do some children move through daily routines with ease while others struggle with transitions?
The answer is rarely the routine itself; it’s the connection, tone, and predictability that surround it.
From infancy through early childhood, children are active meaning-makers, learning deeply through relationships and the environment that supports them. Everyday moments, such as meals, rest, movement, and transition, are rich with potential for nurturing emotional security, agency, and confidence.
In this webinar, Lisamarie Hughes, Senior Principal at EtonHouse Nature Pre-School, Anjie Lu, Primary Homeroom Teacher at Middleton International School, and Kurtrina Foo, Deputy Centre Leader at E-Bridge Pre-School Tampines North, will guide parents and caregivers to see routines as more than schedules; they are the “invisible curriculum” shaping children’s earliest learning dispositions and sense of self.
Join us to explore:
- How children learn through caregiving rhythms and adult responsiveness
- Why predictability and relational tone build trust and curiosity
- Ways to honour children’s cues and support their growing independence in transitions
- Practical ideas for designing daily routines as moments of shared connection and growth
- How educators and families can align their approaches to create a consistent, nurturing environment
With developmental insights and real-life examples, this session invites you to reflect on your rhythms as rich opportunities for partnership, respect and confident learning.

My main takeaway from the workshop is to try and get to the bottom of the needs of the child during a meltdown. I've also learned ways to get my children to tell me how they are feeling.

Multiple strategies were shared during the workshop with lots of discussions. I learn creative ways to teach my children how to solve their conflicts by themselves and encourage them to express their feeling.
