Inspired by the Joyful Learning programme by EtonHouse Community Fund (ECF) that nurtures a love for reading and stories amongst vulnerable children, Book Monsters Podcast was launched by ECF in collaboration with Kiss92 and Singapore Women's Weekly in March this year. This initiative hopes to inculcate storytelling as a meaningful experience for families to bond and connect while nurturing a love for reading.
In line with the National Day celebrations, we would like to celebrate local authors and bring storytelling to the wider community. Stories Under the Stars will be held at the new EtonHouse campus - EtonHouse Garden School by the Bay.
Exploring multiple facets of storytelling, this event will be a sensorial treat for children and adults alike. Be prepared to experience immersive storytelling sessions through puppetry, skits, art and even get to meet local authors in person and the much loved Kiss92 presenters. All this in the beautiful setting of the first school at the picturesque Gardens by the Bay.
Storytelling has many unique benefits for children’s cognitive, creative and social development. It is a wonderful way for your family to bond and build meaningful relationships and reading habits. We look forward to a wonderful evening with you and your family.
Date: 19 August 2023 (Sat) Time: 5.00-7.00pm Venue: EtonHouse Garden School by the Bay (Bayfront Pavilion, Gardens by the Bay) This event is complimentary and open to members of the public and best suited for children between ages 2-7.
